Often does not seem to pay attention when spoken to directly
Often has difficulty organizing tasks and activities
Often avoids, dislikes, or is reluctant to engage in tasks that require sustained mental effort
Often loses things that are necessary for tasks or activities
Often easily distracted
Is often forgetful in daily activities
SYMPTOMS OF HYPERACTIVITY
Often squirms or fidgets with hands or feet
Often leaves seat in classroom or in other situations in which remaining seated is required
Often runs or climbs excessively when it is inappropriate
Often has difficulty playing quietly
Is often on the go or often acts as if "driven by a motor"
Often talks excessively
SYMPTOMS OF IMPULSIVITY
Often blurts out answers before questions have been completed
Often has difficulty waiting turn
Often interrupts or intrudes on others
IF YOUR STUDENT OR CHILD HAS SOME OF THESE SYMPTOMS THAT HAVE PERSISTED FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS THEY MAY HAVE ADD/ADHD
