What is Anxiety?

Persistant anxiety is more than just a state of mind.  Persistent anxiety takes its toll on your emotions, and it effects your body as well.  In fact, those feelings of anxiety set off a trial of physical responses including:

  • Excessive worry
  • Tension, edginess, irratability
  • Insomnia, disturbed sleep, fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Rapid heartbeat (palpitations)
  • Shakes, chills, and hot flashes
  • Nausea, Diarrhea, and stomach pain
  • Chest pain, shortness of breath
  • Headaches, muscle aches, and back pain
